Welcome to the Des Places Educational Association Ltd (DEA).

The DEA is Patron of the 8 schools and colleges of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit in Ireland, as well as being a joint Patron of Holy Family Community School, Rathcoole, Co. Dublin.

Schools under the sole patronage of the DEA provide Catholic education in the Spiritan (Holy Ghost) tradition for over 5,000 pupils.

Ceist - Joining the Dots
Joining the Dots is a school based programme in spiritual reflection and renewal for staff in faith based schools. The programme involves approx. 90 minutes one evening a week for five weeks. There are no fees, no travel and no exams!

Spiritan Faith Friends

Spiritan Faith Friends is a peer ministry programme that runs in two parts. It involves a group of Transition Year students who opt- in to the programme and all of the boys in sixth form who are preparing to celebrate their Confirmation. 

It is in operation for the past four years in the three Junior Spiritan schools and their senior Colleges.

A World Record for Blackrock
815 students, 1st to transition year, formed the world’s largest human shamrock at Blackrock College, Dublin, on Wednesday 6 March 2013. The world record attempt celebrated 25 years of the St. Patrick’s day badge project and launched this year’s campaign.
